Meteomatics, a leading global provider of weather intelligence and innovative meteorological solutions, is looking for an experienced and ambitious Solution Engineer with a strong track record and a genuine passion for selling our unique weather solutions to senior executives.
As part of our commercial team, you will help our valued customers to realize their business goals by applying our cutting-edge weather and climate DaaS / Saas to a wide range of use cases.

Your responsibilities
- Work together with Account Executives to acquire new customers, planning and preparing strategic deals in complex sales cycles within our core segments (energy & utilities, agriculture & insurance, aviation, government/defense)
- Drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling by supporting our Customer Success Managers
- Model the weather business case associated with each sales opportunity, addressing the requirements and pains of the customer
- Present and demonstrate the value proposition in a captivating and convincing way, tailored to your respective audience
- Be an expert on Meteomatics products and manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
- Gather and communicate client needs to the product teams for future enhancements
Your qualifications
- At least Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Climate/Atmospheric Science
- Proven work experience as Sales/Solution Engineer for weather solutions
- Ability to work in a cross-functional position with multiple teams and processes
- Very good presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex weather concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in scripting, data handling, SaaS solutions and strong understanding of APIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Willingness to travel if required (international and domestic)
- Swiss/EU citizenship or work permit is mandatory
