FP&A Manager
Join Meteomatics and make a real impact! Work closely with our CFO and leadership team, shape business decisions and take ownership of financial planning, performance analysis and smarter ways of work
FP&A Manager | 80–100% | St. Gallen, Switzerland
We are hiring an FP&A Manager to build the finance engine behind our next growth stage.
This is a build role. You will own planning, forecasting and performance insight, and you will redesign how it works: automated, AI-assisted and decision-ready, instead of spreadsheet-driven and manual. You report to the CFO and work with the leadership team and board.
What you will do
Own planning and forecasting: run budget, rolling forecast and scenario planning across our data and drone businesses; make forecasts faster, more frequent and more accurate.
Build an AI-first FP&A stack: design automated data pipelines and agentic workflows (variance commentary, forecast refreshes, board pack drafts, anomaly detection) on top of NetSuite, HubSpot and our main tools
Turn data into decisions: deliver clear insight on ARR, retention, unit economics, margins and cash, with a point of view and a recommendation, not just numbers.
Partner with the business: be the finance counterpart to Sales, RevOps, Product and Operations; challenge assumptions and support pricing, headcount and investment decisions.
Own management and board reporting: monthly, quarterly and annual reporting that is accurate, on time and increasingly self-serve.
Build business cases and models: investments, pricing, new markets and strategic initiatives, with clear scenarios and risks.
Support fundraising and lenders: maintain the financial model and KPI data that underpin investor and bank conversations.
Raise the bar: set standards for data quality, documentation and controls, and coach colleagues to use AI tools in everyday finance work.
What you bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
3-5 years in FP&A, controlling, or finance consulting, ideally in a scale-up or tech environment.
Strong modelling skills and hands-on experience with planning tools and ERP/CRM data (NetSuite, HubSpot).
Demonstrated AI-first habits: you already use LLMs and automation in your work, and can show examples (e.g agent workflows).
Solid grasp of recurring revenue (SaaS) business model and metrics such as ARR, NRR and churn.
Sharp analytical thinking and the ability to turn complex data into a clear recommendation.
Excellent English; German is a plus.
Drive, curiosity and ownership: you like building, challenge the status quo and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with experience building collaborative relationships across functions and constructively challenging senior stakeholders
What we offer
Build and shape the future of finance: Take ownership of key finance processes and have the freedom to introduce new tools, automation and AI-driven ways of working.
Make a real business impact: Work directly with our CFO and leadership team, providing insights that influence strategic and commercial decisions.
Broad exposure and responsibility: Gain visibility across the business, from commercial performance and operations to strategic investments and growth initiatives.
An international, collaborative environment: Join a motivated team with flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes and the opportunity to make things happen.
