What we are looking for
We are looking for a senior, driven, and entrepreneurial Account Executive - Energy to help us develop and scale our business in the USA / North America region.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building markets, enjoys owning strategic customer relationships, and is motivated not only by individual success but also by the opportunity to play a key role in shaping and potentially leading our future US commercial team.
As an Account Executive, your primary responsibility is to develop and grow US Energy Sector sales across new and existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and a key contributor to our expansion strategy in the region.
Strong network in the Energy sector and Weather/Climate data sales background is mandatory.
Your responsibilities
Management of the entire sales process, with a strategic focus on the US Energy / Utilities market segment
Presentation and advocation of our cutting-edge weather solutions, advising clients and prospective clients on technical and meteorological applications to meet the specific needs that you have identified
Continue to accelerate our rapidly growing brand awareness by representing Meteomatics at conferences and trade fairs in the US (and further afield)
Consistently looking to build and develop pipeline enabling you to achieve set target on a quarterly and yearly basis.
Build trusting relationships and present value-based solutions to potential customers within the Energy sector.
Partner closely with internal teams (Meteodrone development, software, meteorology, and marketing) to shape our offerings and strategy, ensuring a strong market fit and scalable growth.
Take ownership of key strategic accounts and contribute to defining the go-to-market approach in the US.
Act as a senior voice within the commercial team, sharing market insights and helping share future team structure and strategy.
Bring energy and innovation, adding to the culture of our growing global sales team
Continuously develop your knowledge and competencies.
Keeping our sales systems such as Hubspot & Gong updated with the latest activities and next steps. Whilst providing accurate business forecast on a regular basis
Your qualifications and Experience
Demonstrable experience of selling enterprise software (preferably SaaS) solutions into the Energy / Utilities market, preferably with 7+ years in a commercial or customer-facing role
Proven ability to operate at a senior level, engaging C-Level stakeholders and driving complex sales cycles.
Experience in building or scaling a market, region, or vertical is highly desirable.
Confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, strong negotiation skills and enthusiasm for leveraging weather information to solve business challenges.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ambition and potential to grow into a leadership role over time.
Data driven, commercially minded
Excellent communication skills in English
A proven team player, with the ability to work unsupervised, as part of a close team, focused on the Energy & Utilities segment
Some previous knowledge of meteorological applications is desirable, but not necessary
US working permit essential
