Meteomatics is growing faster than you can say lightning! To keep up, we are looking to grow our Accounting-Team in St.Gallen, looking for a Senior Accountant with experience in an international environment, reporting to our Head of Accounting.

Your responsibilities

• Oversee and manage financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Swiss and international accounting standards.
• Handle financial reporting for our subsidiaries, collaborating with local accounting firms
• Manage payroll accounting, ensuring timely and accurate processing for employees.
• Work on compliance topics, including tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliation and consolidation of financial statements.
• Provide financial insights and support business decision-making by preparing financial reports and analyses, optimize financial processes and implement best practices.

Your qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in an international environment.
• Experience handling subsidiaries and collaborating with local accounting firms to ensure compliance with regional requirements.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and familiarity with Swiss payroll regulations.
• Understanding of Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP and Payroll systems; NetSuite and Abacus experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German.
